The arrangement has at least one distance sensor (2,3) for determining distances between the motor vehicle and objects, at least one camera sensor (4) near the at least one distance sensor with an at least partly overlapping detection region with the distance sensor and a signal processing unit (5) with which a combined signal and image processing of the distance sensor and camera sensor can be implemented for object detection and distance determination.
