Method for controlling a dual clutch transmission

DRIVE February 16, 2005

The method involves at least partly closing a second clutch (C2) to transfer an additional torque via a second transmission path from a drive shaft (I) to an output shaft (O) if the torque transferred via a first clutch (C1) in a first transmission path does not reach a defined upper threshold. The first and second clutches are operated with slip and the parallel operation of the first and second transmission paths is maintained until a changeover from the first path to a new transmission path takes place. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a dual clutch gearbox.
