A fuel cell unit (9) supplies power to a traversing gear. The fuel cell unit and a fuel reservoir (10) are designed as a jointly interchangeable device (8). Water is used as fuel. Fuel that is liquid at room temperature like methanol is used to operate the fuel cell unit that is designed as a direct fuel cell that heats up so as to provide air conditioning in the driver's cab (7).
