Headlamp for vehicles

The device has a reflector (7), a light source in the central region of the reflector and a final control device (17) for adjusting the reflector about a vertical pivot axis. The reflector is mounted so that it can be pivoted essentially about a pivot axis (22) close to a leading edge (15) of the reflector. The pivot axis runs on a side of the reflector that is remote from the central longitudinal plane of the reflector.
