The bracket has a metallic bore (12) with an upper part (10A) for a fender. The upper part has ribs that are arranged to stiffen and to flash the upper part in case of shock, when the fender bracket is mounted on a vehicle. The bore has holes (22) to reduce its stiffness for satisfying pre-defined deceleration criteria. A rigid lower part (10B) is fixed to the structure of the vehicle and has ribs.
