Elastic element for protecting a car trunk floor

The protection unit (1) has a transparent polymeric sheet (2) in a form corresponding to the floor of a boot of a motor vehicle. A flexible peripheral hoop (3) associated with a periphery (4) of the sheet, conforms the sheet in a reversible manner in a stretched position of the unit and in a folded position of the unit. The hoop is arranged for providing a raised peripheral edge to the unit.
