A combustion engine and a method for controlling air mass flow and EGR rate
DRIVE
December 1, 2004
The engine has an exhaust feedback regulator unit (56) controlling an exhaust feedback valve (34) based on an intake pressure in an internal conduit and a set point signal representing a desired intake pressure. The desired pressure depends on an air mass flow into the engine and an amount of exhaust gas feedback. The feedback corresponds to a steady state amount of exhaust gas feedback present at a requested intake pressure. An independent claim is also included for a method of controlling a combustion engine.
