Method and device for braking a motor vehicle by means of a driver assistance system

DRIVE December 1, 2004
Source
A twin-circuit braking facility has a single-circuit main brake cylinder (2c) assigned to a motor vehicle's front axle. An antilock system has a brake pressure modulating valve structure (EVVL,EVVR,AVVL,AVVR) and a return pump (sRFP) for the vehicle's front axle. An auxiliary pump (5) driven by an electric motor supplies brake fluid to front wheel brake cylinders (VL,VR). An independent claim is also included for a hydraulic twin-circuit vehicle braking facility for carrying out the method of the present invention.
