Trailer with electric battery for a loading tailgate

The trailer has an auxiliary battery system with at least two batteries (3a,3b) for operating a lifting platform (2) and a lateral barrier for preventing vehicles from driving under the trailer. The batteries are arranged in series in the longitudinal direction of the trailer and aft of the rear axle (6) and the lateral barrier is formed by the outside (9) of the two batteries or a battery box (5) that accommodates them.
