Valve arrangement in an internal combustion engine

DRIVE November 24, 2004
Source
The assembly has two valves (1a, 1b) linearly displaced by rotating a camshaft. Cams are supported on rollers disposed on pawls (2a, 2b) that are supported on respective valves. The valves are arranged on a cylinder head (20) of an internal combustion engine such that difference in distances between respective valves and pivoting points is approximately 0.5 millimeters. An independent claim is also included for an engine provided with a valve assembly.
