Tool for fitting channel shaped seals onto motor vehicle bodies

The contact pressure device (1) for the fitting of sealing profiles (37) on especially sheet metal components of motor vehicle bodies has a pressure roller (4) driven via a pneumatically operated drive shaft, and with a forming roller (7) driven via a secondary shaft. The drive shaft and secondary shaft are pivotable around an axis, whereby a pneumatic pressure device is provided to press the pressure roller and forming roller one against the other. The drive shaft and secondary shaft inter-engage via a gear stages. An independent claim is included for a method for the fitting of sealing profiles on sheet metal components of motor vehicle bodies.
