Vehicle suspension system with height adjustable chassis

The system has a carrying spring and a shock absorber with a traction stop spring (7) that interacts with a differently positionable stop (17) for correspondingly stronger springing. The stop and hence the distance (l) between the wheel guide element (1) and vehicle body can be automatically displaced depending on the vehicle height so the stop spring contacts the stop independently of the respective vehicle height setting after an essentially equal spring displacement of the carrying spring.
