Method and device for operating an internal combustion engine

DRIVE November 10, 2004
Source
The internal combustion engine (1) has a compressor (5) for compressing the air fed into the engine, whereby a defined desired charging pressure is adjusted via a final control element (10) in a bypass (15) to the compressor. A desired air mass flow through the bypass is determined from the desired charging pressure and a desired value for the position of the final control element is derived from the desired air mass flow through the bypass. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for operating an internal combustion engine.
