Electro-optical hand-held distance measuring apparatus

The device has a housing (2) that can be handled and an electrooptical distance measurement module (3) with an electrical radiation source (5) for generating an optical measurement beam, a radiation receiver (6) for receiving parts of the measurement beam reflected back from a measurement object (MO) and an output arrangement (7) for the determined distance. A mechanical distance measurement arrangement (11) is additionally connected to the housing.
