Convertible vehicle

The convertible motor vehicle has a roof (2) with a flexible cover (4) in the front edge, which receives the full width of the roof and has a forward rigid edge frame which engages the edge of the windscreen when the roof is extended. The front edge of the roof has a support with a padded metallic support. The support has a conical form (10,11) and can be made from multiple cellular metal layers.
