Method and device for detecting a driving condition

A process to determine the condition of a vehicle comprises determining at least one vehicle parameter and finding from this which vehicle condition applies, each condition having its own proof criterion. The determining process is sequential beginning with the most dangerous condition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a digital memory for the above;and (b) a device for operating the above process.
