Method for controlling a damping force

The damping controller adjusts the damping of the vehicle according to the weight difference from a first wheel load to a second wheel load by using two damping coefficients. The damping controller adjusts the damping for different driving situations e.g. driving up or down a hill or driving through a curve, which results in a shift of the wheel load from one wheel to another. The controller automatically evaluates the different damping coefficients needed to react to the weight shift, which results in a constant and unaltered damping of each wheel.
