Method of valve operation in an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
October 27, 2004
The method involves closing two valves (S1, S2) of an internal combustion engine, when admission valves of one cylinder are closed. The time between the closing of the two valves (S1, S2) enables the propagation of overpressure created in an admission pipe (C1), by closing the valve (S1), towards the valve (S2). The valves (S1, S2) block or open the admission pipes (C1, C2) of the cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a system of controlling opening and closing of an admission valve of an internal combustion engine.
