Method for the operation of an internal combustion engine with two intake valves
DRIVE
October 6, 2004
The method involves mutually independently changing the inlet valves (P,S) between a maximum mode (P1,S1) with a larger valve stroke and/or a longer opening period and a minimum mode (P3,S2) with a smaller valve stroke and/or a shorter opening duration. The first inlet valve (P) is operated in maximum mode and the second (S) in minimum mode in a base state. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an internal combustion engine with at least one cylinder with two inlet valves.
