A method for the measurement of at least one parameter characterizing a positioning of an antenna of a radio base station used for cellular telephony, said method comprising: providing a topographic instrument at a first position, remote from said antenna; collimating said topographic instrument on a first point (8',P1) associated to said antenna, so as to determine, in a first topographic survey, distances between said first position and said first point or between projections thereof on predetermined reference planes, and angles between a first line of sight, connecting said first position and said first point, and said predetermined reference planes; collimating said topographic instrument on a second point (8",P2,23) associated to said antenna, separated from said first point, so as to determine, in a second topographic survey, distances between said first position and said second point or between projections thereof on said predetermined reference planes, and angles between a second line of sight, connecting said first position and said second point, and said predetermined reference planes; determining said at least one positioning parameter by using at least one of said distances and angles determined in said first and in said second topographic surveys.
