Method of backprojecting an image and projection device

The system may be used with a HUD (Head Up Display) showing e.g. speedometer, rev counter and other readings reflected in a curved windscreen. The procedural steps involve input of video data (100) and division of the display into separate portions reflected from different parts of the windscreen (102). The third step involves pre-distortion of the various display elements to compensate for distortion introduced by the curvature of the windscreen (104). Finally, the pre-distorted data is stored (106).
