Closing device

A locking catch for the door, or flap of a truck mounted container is connected to a release mechanism which is coupled to a servo release system on the truck. The locking catch is connected to a pivot mounted control element via a dead point linkage. The bottom part of the linkage has a tag which locates into a loop of the truck mounted release system when the container is loaded onto the truck. The release is operated from the cab and leaves the dead point linkage in a position where it provides an automatic locking action when the door/flap is closed again.
