It has video cameras (4,6) mounted in the right-hand (12) and left-hand (14) headlamp housings adjacent to the headlamps (16,18) and the winking indicator lights (20,22) connected to evaluation unit and display. The cameras may detect an obstacle e.g. a tree (34) and send signals (24,26) to an evaluation circuit (8). The evaluation circuit is directly connected (32) to a display unit (10) with a display (36) showing a picture of the obstacle (38) and a graphical or color light display (40). There are direct connections (28,30) between the cameras and the display.
