Air operated brake device of a railway vehicle

The device has a closed pneumatic circuit with an essentially constant working air quantity, a main air storage container of variable volume for setting a predefined working pressure, an air compressor, an air storage container for storing a quantity of compressed air required for at least braking or releasing braking and a pneumatic brake cylinder with at least one pressure chamber for connection to the storage container and main air container. The braking device (1) has a closed pneumatic circuit (20) with an essentially constant working air quantity containing a main air storage container (24) of variable volume for setting a predefined working pressure, an air compressor (28), an air storage container (30) for storing a quantity of compressed air required for at least braking or releasing braking and a pneumatic brake cylinder (4) with at least one pressure chamber (12) for connection to the storage container and main air container.
