Vehicle wheel with a run flat support

A vehicle wheel comprises a pneumatic tyre (9) on a rim (10) and an emergency support member (1) in the form of a ring (3) which is located on the rim with a central point (2) formed between them. The angle of at least one support element between a radial line running through a central point and a support element central line is 15-30[deg], especially 22-26[deg]. The smallest wall thickness is at least 15 mm and the support element comprises rubber.
