Vehicle tailgate

Vehicle tailgate (6) comprises a first lifting and optionally pulling device (14) arranged on one side of the tailgate for opening and closing the tailgate. A second lifting device (8) is arranged on the opposite side of the tailgate to the first lifting and pulling device and pivots with the car chassis and the tailgate. Preferred Features: The first lifting and pulling device is structured so that it automatically opens and closes the tailgate. A gas spring is used to produce the lifting movement.
