Method for determination of ageing of a battery

The method involves detecting charging and discharging cycles in respect of their number and depth, whereby for each charging and discharging cycle an aging characteristic value is determined using a characteristic aging profile for the respective type of battery and summing individual aging characteristic values to an aging value for the battery.
