Wiper system for vehicle windscreens

Vehicle wiper system for vehicle windscreens has at least two wipers (10, 11), each operated by wiper modules (12, 13) with a reversing motor (14), gear (15) and electronic controller. The driver side module is connected via the vehicle wiring system to a vehicle control unit (20) and configured as a master module, while the passenger side module is configured as a slave unit and is controlled via a serial interface from the master module. The controllers of the wiper modules can be freely configured via the vehicle control unit and the vehicle wiring system as any combination of master and slave.
