Vehicle external piece comprising a decorating film and manufacturing process thereof

The external component consists of an injection-moulded skin (5) of a transparent or translucent thermoplastic material extending in two perpendicular directions (X, Z), with a thinner decorative film layer (1) applied to its inner surface (7) and attached by adhesive. The height (H) and length of the component are at least ten times greater than the total thickness (e) of the skin and film. The skin can be colored, contain opaque particles such as flakes, or have opaque zones produced by paint, tampography or application of opaque materials. Its inner and outer surfaces (6) can be smooth polished or grained.
