Method for manufacturing an aluminium alloy wheel rim

The method involves pressing a strip of aluminum alloy sheet material (10) in step-by-step lengthwise direction using complementary molds to form the strip in predetermined profiles as a hoop with a formed gap between the ends. The gap is then welded to form an unfinished wheel rim. The strip has a predetermined cross-section suitable for forming a wheel rim by extrusion molding.
