Loading space covering shelf comprising moveable corner pieces

The rear parcel shelf(19) is divided into a centre section(31) and two corner pieces(32,33) hinged on the centre section and of which at least one part of its circumferential edge(41,42) forms a section of the outer edge(24) of the parcel shelf. The centre section is dimensionally stable, and the parcel shelf may have a continuous cover which without interruption covers the centre section and both corner pieces. The hinge connecting the centre section to the respective corner pieces is a film hinge which may be formed by the cover. An Independent claim is included for a boot space cover for a private motor vehicle or estate car with a centre section and corner pieces.
