The device has a blocking canvas (1) which is folded or unfolded along an axis of folding. A portion comprising sprocket wheels (22, 23, 32, 33) and control rack (4, 5) modifies a position according to deployment axis of unfolding of each one of two ends of the unfolded portion of the canvas. Two tubes (2, 3) are provided in rollers to associate respectively with each end of the canvas. An Independent claim is also included for an automobile vehicle.
