WIND STOP DEVICE

A wind stop device for motor vehicles, in particular for convertible vehicles, comprising a wind deflector with a wind deflector frame extending in a vehicle transverse direction and with a flow-obstructing element closing a frame opening of the wind deflector frame, wherein the wind deflector is foldable by at least one joint about a wind deflector folding axis between an unfolded position and a folded position, a cover pivotably connected to the wind deflector about a pivot axis extending in the vehicle transverse direction, with a cover frame extending away from the pivot axis and with a flow-obstructing element closing a frame opening of the cover frame, wherein the cover frame is foldable by at least one joint about a cover folding axis between an unfolded position and a folded position, to prevent a folding movement of the wind deflector about the wind deflector folding axis, the wind deflector frame is provided with a blocking device on at least one side facing away from the pivot axis, which in a blocking position blocks a folding movement of the wind deflector frame about the wind deflector folding axis and which in a release position permits folding of the wind deflector frame about the wind deflector folding axis from the unfolded position into the folded position and vice versa.
