Device for grounding a rail vehicle

DRIVE June 30, 2004
Source
The device has an electrically conductive connection between at least one wheel and a carriage body, esp. an electrical train. At least one carriage of the train has no electrically conductive connection between carriage body and wheel, and carriages within the train are connected electrically conductive to each other via at least one earthing cable. The connection between wheels and carriage bodies is present on two neighboring carriages only, esp. those in the center of the train. A bow coupling of the train is electrically insulated and is connected to an earthed part of the train via a coupling earth cable with integrated protective resistor.
