Headrest with an integrated translation movement and locking system
DRIVE
June 23, 2004
The head support (1) comprises a frame provided with a rod (3a) which extends along an axis Z, a casing (4) able to translate on the rod and a displacement and locking system for the casing along the rod. This system comprises a rigid locking part (9) with an orifice for receiving the rod. The locking part is arranged so that in the locking position the orifice axis Z' is inclined relative to the axis Z at an angle alpha sufficient to allow the locking of the casing along the rod. In the translation position the axis Z' is inclined relative to the axis Z at an angle less than alpha to allow free translation of the casing along the rod. There is an activating part (13) for the locking part controlled by a control device. The locking part and the activating part are located in a housing (24) in the casing.
