Fixing pin (300) for a wheel on a cycle, comprising a rod (310) that extends along a longitudinal axis, a first end which includes means cooperating with the frame of said cycle and a second end which comprises means capable of cooperating with a device exerting a tightening torque, in which: said rod (310) includes a groove (318) that extends along said longitudinal axis over a length L1; a variable diameter element of length L2, the length L2 being less than L1, is received in the groove (318) in such a way as to be movable in translation along the longitudinal axis; and an elastic means (330) constrains longitudinally said variable diameter element in the direction of the second end.
