Steer-by-wire steering system and method for transmitting information signals or electric power

Steer-by-wire steering device (100) has extra functions incorporated in the steering wheel, e.g. an airbag or operating elements for a radio. Power and data connections for such functions are incorporated in connections to a feedback electric motor (130) that is associated with steer-by-wire system. An Independent claim is made for a method for data exchange and power supply in a motor vehicle steer-by-wire steering device.
