Sliding roof arrangement for a motor vehicle

The cover for a sliding roof system has two guide elements (14) adjustable on two oppositely lying sides of the cover so that their relative spacing is variable. The two guide elements are fitted in a slide guide (20) which provides an adjustment direction for the guide elements which deviates from the displacement direction (P) of the cover so that the two guide elements are centered in relation to the cover. Each guide element is hinge-connected to a guide rod (18) which is accommodated in the slide guide. An Independent claim is included for a sliding roof system equipped with the said cover.
