The device has three capacity sensor (1) each grouped side by side to form a touch/tactile surface. An electronic calculator circuit (2) coupled to a proximity detection unit translates the changes in the state of the detection unit into setting values for a control unit. The calculator circuit distinguishes the successive activation of the sensors from other activations by taking the temporal shifts between the activations.
