POLYETHER POLYMER, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, COMPOSITION FOR SOLID POLYMER ELECTROLYTE AND USE THEREOF

Composition for solid polymer electrolyte contains a polyether polymer containing =5 weight% toluene insolubles, or a polyether of Mooney viscosity 3-190 formed by reducing the Mooney viscosity by >=5 by applying a shear force to a polyether polymer of Mooney viscosity 10-200 under heating using an extruder, and an electrolyte salt compound soluble in the polymer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) the solid polymer electrolyte formed by crosslinking the composition; (2) the battery formed which has the polymer solid electrolyte; (3) the polyether polymer of Mooney viscosity 3-190 formed by reducing the Mooney viscosity by >=5 by applying a shear force to a polyether polymer of Mooney viscosity 10-200 under heating using an extruder; and (4) the manufacture of the polyether polymer of Mooney viscosity 3-190.
