Electromecanical thrust reverser for a turbofan engine with thrust reverser doors
DRIVE
April 28, 2004
The thrust reverser has doors moved between open and closed positions by a control jack (12). A door control unit enables a synchronized placement of the doors based on variation of loads exerted on the reverser and difference in the loads between the doors. Calculators (58a, 58b) compute the variations based on the calculation of time derivatives of rotation speed and operation current of electric motors linked at the jack. The electric motors are controlled by electronic control units (18a, 18b) connected to a full authority electronic calculator (20).
