Discharge methodologies for optimizing the performance of alkali metal/silver vanadium oxide cells

The method involves discharging lithium/silver vanadium oxide cells to deliver pulse discharges of electrical current of greater amplitude to that of a pre-pulse current or open circuit voltage immediately prior to the periodic current pulse discharges. The method waits for a time interval greater than the previous time interval and derives the discharge curves (60) from which the loaded voltage reading is determined.
