Air conditioner for a vehicle and corresponding method

An air conditioning unit for a motor vehicle comprises many compartments (K1-n) to lead and condition the air stream (L) and a cooling circuit and vaporizer. A control unit (17) uses an engine condition signal (MS) to determine the actual and expected operating conditions from which compartments and/or parameters (P1-m) are controlled. An Independent claim is also included for an operating process for the above unit.
