DRIVE
March 31, 2004
The rectangular container (1) has rounded corners and an outward-extending flange (1b) at the top. The flat sides (1a) have small apertures which have small apertures to accommodate the shafts of drive knobs (16). The drive knobs have pinions engaging in sector gears connected to first arms of the parallelogram linkages (12). The second arms (14) are set at a slight angle to the first arms and are connected to the lid (3). A wind-up spring compensates for the weight of the lid.
