Electrical machine, formed as starter, generator or starter-generator for a vehicle

The electrical machine (1) has a stator provided with a stator winding (2) with a number of phase windings (6u,6v,6w) and power electronic modules (5), using power switches (8), equi-angularly spaced at the winding head end of the stator. Each phase winding is provided by at least 2 coils and associated with at least 2 power electronic modules, each handling part of the current for each phase and positioned in the space left by the winding head in the radial inside or outside of the latter.
