Energy management method for subsystems on a railway vehicle

The method for supplying electricity to auxiliary equipment, e.g. heating and lighting, in a passenger train comprises using current from the circuit which supplies the drive motors, e.g. diesel-electric motors. The supply is reduced during starting and acceleration and increased during braking.
