The turbocharger (1) for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine has a rotor shaft (5) extending into a turbine casing (2) with feed channel for exhaust gas (9) to drive the turbine rotor (4). The feed channel is axially offset opposite to the plane of the rotor. The channel has at least one duct extending to the rotor chamber, with the radially outer duct wall angled from the rotor chamber to the feed duct. Claims include a casing for the turbocharger.
