Air bag module and air bag module and steering wheel assembly

The gas generator support of the airbag module has a leaf spring (10) fitted to it and comprises a continuous inner annular section (12) and several legs (14), each of which have a first end (14a) formed on the inner section, and a free second end (14b) which axially curves away with regard to the center axis of the spring, whereby the legs are elastically deformable by axial pressure. The first end of each leg is formed on the outer circumference of the inner section of the spring. An Independent claim is included for an assembly consisting of a steering wheel and airbag module with a gas generator support, with a leaf spring fitted between the gas generator support and steering wheel.
