Restraining system
DRIVE
March 3, 2004
The system consists of a seat (1) with seat area (3) and backrest (2), and a holder device with a lock part moved between open and locked positions. The holder device is located in the connection area between seat and backrest. It has a mainly U-shaped holder part (4) extending over the lap of a person in the seat, when in locked position. The holder part is then in an anthropometrically optimized plane, which encloses an angle of 30-60degrees, especially 40-50degrees, preferably approximately 45degrees or 50degrees, preferably maximum 44.6degrees relative to the horizontal, when the vehicle is in position for entry and exit. The seat is at an angle of 0-30degrees, preferably 25degrees, and especially the backrest is at an angle of 70-95degrees, especially 85degrees relative to the seat. The holder device and/or lock part has at least one rigid bracket and/or a flexible belt (8), and a locking device (11), which is integrated in the seat.
