Electronic control unit for setting a target engine torque in an engine control system

Current gear- (nab) and engine- (nmot) speeds, are registered as input signals. The clutch is located between engine and gears. Independently of the clutch position, a current rotary speed transmission ratio (iakt; iakt-lim) is determined from these speeds. A driver demand signal (F) also forms an input, and a desired gear torque (Mab-sol) is determined from it. This is determined independently of the clutch position, from the current rotary speed transmission ratio and the desired gear torque.
